FläktGroup SEMCO chilled beams create an exceptionally comfortable indoor environment. Often used in lieu of fan coil units, chilled beams offer even air dissemination that avoids pockets of concentrated air. Chilled beams send fully mixed air evenly throughout a room to provide overall comfort with the right temperature and humidity.
The Orion II is an active, bulkhead mounted chilled beam used for ventilation, heating, and cooling. Inconspicuous with sound pressure less than 20dB — the same noise level as rustling leaves, the Orion II is perfect for hotel rooms, hospital rooms, and offices.
Inherently flexible, the Orion II can easily be adapted to meet changing room geometry and ventilation needs with three diffusion grilles and adjustable induction slots. With the Pressure Independent (Pi) Actuator, the Orion II is even more flexible. The Pi Actuator allows chilled beams to vary primary air in responses to changes in occupancy and/or pressure.
This beam features a perforated swing down front panel as well as mounting flanges for simple installation. With 36 different nozzle positions, the Orion includes adjustable induction.
The Orion II is also now offered with optional US-standard threaded connections and is available for cable suspension in addition to rigid suspension. The Orion II is also available with hose kits allowing installation without soldering and associated hot work permits and fire watch after rough-in.
